Connecting NYC e-Services Account to Remitian

This guide walks you through the process of connecting your NYC e-Services account to Remitian so you can securely schedule and pay your NYC taxes through the Remitian platform.

Do you have to authorize Remitian?

Yes. NYC e-Services uses a Third‑Party Access request and approval.

Part 1: Creating a NYC e-Services Account (If You Don’t Already Have One)

If you don’t have a NYC e-Services account, you’ll need to create one before you can connect it to Remitian.

  1. Visit the NYC e-Services Website

    Go to https://a836-btseservices.nyc.gov/production/eservices/_/ and click Create One.

  2. Start the Registration Process

    • On the first page, click No under “Are you looking for Manhattan Parking Tax Exemption (PTE)?”
    • Still on the first page, click No under “Do you have a parking ticket, cannabis infraction, or Environmental Control Board violation to pay off?”
    • ID Type, select Employer ID
    • Fill in your company EIN.
    • Click Verify ID.
    • Follow the next instructions
  3. Review and Submit

    • On the Registration Summary page, review your information.
    • Click Submit to complete your registration.

Part 2: Connecting Your NYC e-Services Account from Remitian

  1. Go to the Remitian Homepage

    Log in to your Remitian account and click View Tax Payments.

  2. Select New York City (NYC)

  3. Connect to New York City

    • Click Connect to New York City.
    • Fill in the Account ID you received by creating the NYC e-Services account
    • To allow Remitian to file and make payments on your behalf, you must grant the following permissions:
      • View
      • Make Payment
  4. Authorize the Connection

    • Click Yes, Create Connection.
    • The connection status will update to Pending Review.
    • You will receive an email at the personal email address registered with your NYC e-Services account asking you to approve this connection request.

Part 3: Approving Remitian Access on NYC e-Services

  1. Log In to NYC e-Services
  2. Access the Action Center
    • On your homepage, navigate to Action Center.
    • Find the section labeled Third-Party Access Request Pending.
    • Click Respond to the Request.
  3. Approve the Third-Party Access
    • You’ll see details for the Remitian Payment Team, including the username, web profile name, and email address.
    • Click Yes to approve the request.
    • Under Third-Party Access Type, select Remitian from the dropdown menu.
    • Check the boxes to grant permission for View and Make Payment.
  4. Submit the Approval
    • Once you have confirmed your selections, click Submit.
    • A confirmation screen will appear showing that your request has been approved.
    • You will also have the option to print a copy of the confirmation and leave feedback about the process.

Next Steps

Once your NYC e-Services account is set up and you’ve approved the Remitian third-party connection:

  • You’ll be able to view, schedule, and pay NYC tax payments directly from your Remitian dashboard.
  • Remitian will automatically sync your payment history and filing details for future use.
