## Frequently asked questions in relation to KYC or KYB compliance

**Will My Personal Information Be Stored Securely?**

**Will This Process Impact My Credit Score?**

**No, this process doesn't impact your credit score in any way.** TaxPay won't conduct a credit check.

 

**What If I Don't Live in Canada?**

**You can complete the KYC process if you live outside of Canada.** In one of the first verification steps, you will be asked which country your government ID is from. While the selection defaults to Canada, Plaid supports government-issued ID verification from many countries.
