Remitian 3.3.0 Release Notes

This release introduces a set of compliance-focused improvements designed to reduce manual effort for firm administrators, compliance teams, and operations staff. The updates provide clearer KYC and KYB status visibility, automate compliance enforcement for payment workflows, and streamline the identity verification experience for taxpayers.

Firm Dashboard: KYC Visibility & Nudges

Firm users can now monitor the KYC verification status of each client directly from the firm dashboard. When a client’s verification is incomplete or at risk of blocking a payment, firm users can trigger a reminder notification to the client without leaving the dashboard.

Taxpayer KYC Flow Improvements

The identity verification experience for taxpayers has been completely redesigned. The previous modal-based flow has been replaced with a dedicated full-page experience that consolidates all verification steps; personal information collection, AML questionnaire, and identity verification, into a single guided workflow.

The AML questionnaire is now embedded directly in the KYC page. Taxpayers complete it as part of the same flow rather than as a separate step.

Streamlined identity verification

For eligible users, identity verification now runs in the background using Equifax integration. A consent form collects name, address, and date of birth, and verification completes without additional document uploads.

Pull Flow Compliance Guardrails (Canada)

For Canadian pull flow transactions, the platform now enforces KYB compliance checks automatically before any scheduled or manual pull is executed. Non-compliant entities are blocked from pull execution, and the system provides proactive reminders and clear visibility into compliance failures for operations teams.

When a payment is blocked, the specific compliance failure reason and blocked status are surfaced to internal teams for faster resolution.

Notes & Considerations

  • Pull flow compliance guardrails are currently available for Canadian transactions only. Expansion to other jurisdictions will be communicated separately.
  • Equifax silent identity verification is available for eligible taxpayers. Users who do not qualify will be directed to the standard document-upload verification path.
  • No migration or configuration changes are required. All features are enabled automatically upon release.
